Ray was a high school English teacher and coach. He was also a college professor and director, producing the first play at Concordia University Irvine and teaching an English course most years as he served as president. Ray served as CUEnet’s mentor for 20 years, helping hundreds of teachers strengthen their service through improved understanding of Lutheran doctrine.
